Dustin asked me to write a little bit about myself, so you guys would know more about me – so here goes!
For starters, here is my 140 character Twitter bio – I love Jesus, I love my husband James, I love my family, I love my Church Eastgate, I love taking pictures and I love rap music!
That’s me summed up in a nutshell – but, how did I get into that shell?
I grew up in Elyria, Ohio – and I was kind of a wayward child. When I graduated from high school, I chose to go into the military to get out of some bad social situations and habits and make a new start for my life. So, I spent four years as a journalist at Tyndall Air Force base. While I was working there, God was working on me – and though I was still pretty rebellious, he got a hold of my heart. I started attending Eastgate while I was in the military, but, didn’t really make it out as much as I wanted to because the commute was pretty long. It wasn’t until probably two years ago that God smacking me upside the head (and me coming up against a wall) finally sunk in, and I gave my whole heart to Jesus Christ and committed myself to Him. That was the best decision I have ever made. Once I did that, James came into my life, and in a very short amount of time we got engaged and then married. We will be married a year this July.
Right now, I work for the Air Force as a graphic designer as a civilian and own a photography company, mostly doing wedding photos (my fav!)
I believe God’s call on my life is to reach and teach people for him. Like Lecrae (my favorite rapper right now) says “make disciples, who make disciples, disciple cycles.”
I have done ministry in the church by taking people out to homeless shelters, organizing Habitat for Humanity outings and outreach at Anchorage Children’s Home. James and I also love teaching kids in Sunday School, and especially hanging out with you guys during Crash.
Ultimately, James and I want to outreach to kids through the church, or in some way that God hasn’t yet specified. Right now, James is finishing up school, and we are just kind of waiting to see where God leads through that.
My belief about us as disciples of Jesus Christ is to make sure everyone who knows us hears of Jesus Christ – but, ultimately, it is to spread his fame and message. In the ministry, I believe it is our duty to equip you guys for this.

I really do love Jesus Muzik aka Christian Rap, and I really don’t care how dorky it is, I will play it like I was bumping Dr Dre (and if you don’t know who he is I’m old.)
I get so excited watching movies, you would think that I was actually in them.
I still don’t know what I want to go to college for, and I have already been there.
My favorite place on Earth is Florida, even though I have lived here for years, particularly Orlando, because the whole world seems to be represented there.
I have tried to learn Spanish like five times seriously, and all I can fluently say is “Hola, como estas? Me llamo Sarah. Me gusta me trabajo.” And, I don’t even know if I spelled it right.
I have two dogs and a cat.
